WHAT IS IT?

"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
2 Timothy 1:6 & 7
The Timothy Program is a student discipleship program for high school students ages 15 to 17 years old. The program is designed to encourage spiritual growth of high school students who desire to serve at summer camp and beyond into their local communities, through daily scripture reading, journaling, small group discussion and training sessions. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities that give practical work experience and ways to apply spiritual lessons to everyday life. Our hope is to invest in future staff members but also equip students for the work that Christ has set out for them in their home churches and communities. All Timothy students will be involved with small group discipleship throughout their program weeks. Our Timothy Leaders and Program Manager will be devoted to mentoring those in the program and will be leading the spiritual development sessions.

The Timothy Disciple program is for new camp staff. Timothy Disciple students will spend 3-4 weeks at camp during the summer, rotating each week working in three areas of camp: programming, maintenance and crew team. Timothy Disciples will spend parts of the day working in their assigned job duties and will also be participating in training sessions designed to encourage and equip them spiritually. All Timothy Disciple students are required to attend Staff Training Week (June 8th - 12th) at the beginning of the summer regardless of which have of the summer they will be serving at camp.
